Thomas Gooch III

I am a lifelong resident of Lake County, Illinois, a veteran of the United States Army, and have been active in civic and political organizations in this community for decades.

Some of my community activities have been:

• Founding director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lake County.
• Township Attorney for Cuba Township.
• Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Lake Barrington.
• President and also Treasurer of the Barrington Fire Protection District.
• Chairman of the Republican Party of Cuba Township.
• Highway Commissioner of Cuba Township.

I am a veteran of the United States Army, and I served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

I received my undergraduate degree from Loyola University and my law degree from the John Marshall Law School.

I am licensed to practice in:

• The State of Illinois.
• The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
• The United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
• U.S. District Court Trial Bar.

I concentrate my practice in the fields of civil litigation, professional and legal malpractice, excessive attorney fee cases, and appellate cases. I hold what is believed to be the record legal malpractice verdict of 2.3 Million Dollars awarded in any case in the collar counties of Chicagoland.  This jury verdict award was entered against a major Chicago law firm.
